CATALOG COURSE DESCRIPTION
With special emphasis on
vocational/technical training, this course is an investigation of Malcom
Knowles' theory of education and is one part of a three-part series
devoted to the learning techniques of adult students. It will focus on
ways they process information, retain, and utilize new concepts and
strategies. Specific techniques will be employed that identify theories
associated with cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains of
learning. General theories and concepts of education will be presented,
with an emphasis placed on the allied health professions. There is a
computer-based component to this course and students will need access to
a computer and e-mail. Prerequisite: Current certification as an EMS
