An English-As-A-Second-Language student is a student who speaks a native language other than English. These individuals attend Capital to develop and acquire the oral and written English language necessary for success in degree and certificate programs at the College. The four – level program provides targeted instruction which integrates speaking, listening, grammar, reading and writing development. After taking the LOEP (Level of English Proficiency) computerized test, the student is placed at the appropriate level of instruction.
