New students must meet with a Counselor or Faculty Advisor soon after they have taken the college placement test to discuss their testing results and choose their first semester courses. At this session, students may discuss how their course schedule will impact on their work and family commitments. Additionally, students should feel free to inquire about specific college information concerning tuition costs, course tutoring, and day care services.

New students should be aware that returning students have the advantage of the Early Registration period so
NOTE: Placement Testing assures that students are enrolled in courses appropriate to their skill level. Tests are taken after the student has applied for admission and been assigned their Banner ID number. The Testing Center is located on the second floor, room 220. Students whose native language is other than English must take the LOEP(Level of English Proficiency)computerized test. Exemptions from testing are detailed in appropriate material prior to each semester. The ESL Program is located on the 4th floor. The telephone number is 860 906-5204.
