An incomplete is a temporary grade assigned by the instructor when course work is missing and the student agrees to complete the assignments. A Faculty member determines if a student will receive an incomplete, and is typically used when there are extenuating circumstances such as illness. A student receiving an incomplete must complete the work by the tenth week of the next semester. The incomplete designation automatically becomes an F if the course work is not completed in the prescribed time.
