SAMPLE PAPERSCapital Community-Technical College is creating a depository of model papers for students to refer to when they want to know what a paper "should look like" or they're not sure what is required in a writing assignment. Papers are submitted to the archives by a course's instructor but appear here only with the written permission of students. The archive will include only papers by CCTC students.
If you are using a frames-capable browser, you can select from the course list in the scrollable frame to the left. A frames-capable browser will also provide a link to a mailer (the mailbox near the upper left-hand corner) that will allow you to ask questions of the college webmaster, a link that will return you to the College Library's home-page (upper left-hand corner), and a link that provides a return to the college home-page (lower left-hand corner).
Students are reminded that these papers remain the intellectual property of the writers and are to be used as models only; copying them in whole or in part without giving proper credit to the author would be a serious academic offense. Besides, instructors are well aware of what has been submitted to the archives. (See the CCTC Library's Guide To Writing Research Papers for further information on plagiarism and the proper documentation of resources.) Instructors should submit students' papers on a floppy disc or by means of email to Charles Darling or Claire O'Connor. Papers should be properly identified (student's name, course number, date, instructor's name), and should be accompanied by a permission slip signed by the student (available at the main desk in the college library). Instructors may append comments to a paper; those comments will appear in a blue font.
