Let's see how I was in the Modes of Communication class. What I learned and what I need to continue to work on to improve my skills.
In my Course Outcomes I grade myself a 15. The parts that I really like were Word Processing, using Research Resources of the Library and the Internet. I really learned a lot, and I now know better how to find information in the library research resource. There are two parts I need to work on. First, taking effective notes from oral and written presentation, but at least I learned the idea and the tools to make this happen. Second Recognize the Basic Principles of Research Documentation, again I need to continue working in this to improve my skills and not to plagiarize.
In my Class Participation, I grade myself a 36, great! I'm proud of my work. I participated in all the activities to complete the four goals of the class. There are two activities that I need to keep working on. One is consulting with other students in study groups or by e-mail. This one is because I don't like working in-groups. The other was use of audio-visual, Internet or computer supplements. I need to work more in finding more information about specific topics.
The Mode of Communication class helped me a lot to find the information to do my research for class. Even though I knew how to use the computer, I learned more techniques and other resources. This class, Mode of Communication, is a big component of the English Level IV class.
