ARCHIVE
OF WRITING
ASSIGNMENTS AND
STUDENTS’
SAMPLE PAPERS

Capital Community College has created a depository of writing assignments, model papers and sample exams for students to refer to when they want to know what a paper "should look like" or they're not sure what is required in a writing assignment or upcoming exam. Assignments, papers, and exams are submitted to the archives by a course's instructor and appear here with the written permission that instructor and of Capital students. There are currently some assignments, papers, and sample exams in the Business, Economics, Education, English, History, and Psychology areas. (Select from the menu at left if you have a frames-capable browser; otherwise, a list will appear below.)

Students and others are reminded that these assignments and papers remain the intellectual property of the teachers and writers and are to be used as models only; copying them in whole or in part without giving proper credit to the author would be a serious academic offense. Besides, instructors are well aware of what has been submitted to the archives. See the Capital Library's Guide To Writing Research Papers for further information on plagiarism and the proper documentation of resources.

Instructors should submit students' papers on a floppy disc or by means of e-mail to the Capital Learning Center. Papers should be properly identified (student's name, course number, date, instructor's name), and should be accompanied by a permission slip signed by the student (available at the Learning Center). Instructors may append explanatory comments to a paper; those comments will appear in a blue font.
