CATALOG COURSE DESCRIPTION
An in-depth look at the child, the family, and the
relationship between the school and the family. An understanding
of the young child and age appropriate guidance for her or him
will be examined An understanding of how to effectively
communicate with families will be explored. Students will
attempt to identify ways a school can develop a working
relationship with today’s families. This course may require
visits, observation and participation in an early childhood
education setting. Formerly listed as EDUC 229. This course may
be used as an elective. Prerequisite: ECE* 101.
