CATALOG COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course explores representative stories, novels, plays and poems written in English by Hispanic Americans or Latinos/Latinas. Focus is primarily upon recent literary works by Puerto Rican, Cuban-American and Chicano/Chicana writers. The major cultural, linguistic and literary elements found in Hispanic life and art are examined.
