CATALOG COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will provide an overview and introduction to the study of development through the life-span. Genetic and environmental influences on the biological, cognitive, and social aspects of development from conception to death will be examined. Students will gain an understanding and appreciation for the complexities of development by investigating prominent theories, research studies, issues of diversity, and global perspectives within lifespan development.
