Evaluating Your Learning Style Evaluating Your Learning Style

This questionnaire will help you analyze your learning style. It is important to know how you learn best so that you can approach the learning task with confidence. Learning about particular weaknesses also gives you the opportunity to concentrate on certain techniques to overcome those weaknesses.

Each of the five parts of this questionnaire has seven questions. Answer each question thoughtfully; there are no right or wrong responses here. The computer will add up your responses in an "alert" box. When you click on OK, you will go to the next part of the "interview," but before you begin the next section, record your totals in the Scoring Grid in the right-hand frame. When the scoring grid is finished, you can print it if you like (and if your browser provides for that). Clicking on the option for Interpreting Your Score will provide an analysis of your scores. Another option will provide some interesting strategies for dealing with learning-style weaknesses that the questionnaire might have revealed.

To print out any of these sections, click on the frame before you click on the browser's PRINT option.

If you have any questions about the use of this Learning Style Questionnaire, ask the staff of the Learning Assistance Center. This questionnaire is not really long enough for a full-scale analysis of your learning style, but it might give you some ideas to work on or lead you to seek out a more sophisticated analysis.
