Chicano poet, Jimmy Santiago Baca has published many books of poetry including the well known 1986 volume, Black Mesa Poems and the more recent 1981 title Healing Earthquakes . He has also written several autobiographical works such as the book: A Place to Stand . His latest collection of short fiction has just been released: The Importance of a Piece of Paper.
