JUMP DOWN TO: COMPUTER SOUND CONTROLS

Sound levels from all presentation sources (Laptop, DVD Player, VCR) and the Microphones are mixed together and turned up or down from the Crestron Control Panel. Along the left side of the touch-screen are buttons to turn the volume up, turn it down, or to mute the sound altogether (pressing this button again will un-mute the sound). The level indicator bar next to the three buttons will rise or lower as sound is turned up or down.

Be careful not to turn the volume up so loud as to cause the microphones to feed-back, creating a loud, ear-piercing squeal.

For instructions on setting up and/or using other presentation sources, select your option from the pull-down list below:

COMPUTER SOUND CONTROLS
The Lectern Computer (or any laptop computer) has its own software sound control panel, which regulates the sound levels coming out of the computer before it's mixed into the classroom presentation system. If adjusting the Volume Knob has no affect on the computer sound level, you'll probably need to adjust the computer's Sound Control Panel.Task Bar Image

To open the Sound Control Panel on a Windows computer, click the mini speaker icon in the task bar at the lower right hand corner of the desktop (see image at right). If there is no speaker icon, go to Start Menu, click on Control Panels, then Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices > Sound and Audio Devices. You'll get a control panel with various adjustable volume levels. Be sure they are all up to their maximum levels, and that none are muted.
