The Walter J. Markiewicz Community Room
The Walter J. Markiewicz Community Room, located on the 2nd floor, is a large presentation space with huge panaromic windows overlooking Main Street, and configurable furniture to meet your event needs. Theater-style seating will accomodate 80 guests, or the room can be configured for small groups with tables and chairs, or trade-show style with individual display tables. Guest registration tables or other displays can be located in lobby space just outside the Community Room doors.
The Community Room has the same presentation capabilities as General Classrooms, but contains a smaller, fixed lectern rather than an Instructor's Station. Presenters in this room may project materials from a wide variety of sources:
- Computer Documents or Internet Webpages on the PC
- DVD Movies or Audio CDs on the PC
- Hard-copy Documents on the Document Camera
- Videotapes on the VCR
Also, presenters may bring their own laptop computer and connect it to the presentation system for projection on the large screen.
For instructions on how to use the presentation system in the Community Room, proceed to the Presenter's Lectern.
