Transfer Opportunities
It is important that students planning to transfer to another institution seek the advice of a CCC advisor and/or counselor as well as consult with the admissions office of that institution. A brief summary of major transfer agreements is provided here:
| Eastern Connecticut State University |
|
Students who have earned fewer than 15 transferrable college credits can gain acceptance to Eastern while simultaneously earning an associate's degree from Capital.
For more information on The Transfer Compact, contact Capital's Director of Admissions, Marsha Ball-Davis, at (860) 906-5127 or mball-davis@ccc.commnet.edu or Emma Colon at (860) 906-5204 or ecolon@ccc.commnet.edu.

| Bridges to the Baccalaureate Program |
|
While working to complete their associate degrees, minority students at Capital with an interest in science will be guided through the process of transferring to a four year baccalaureate program at the University of Connecticut in Storrs. Benefits include paid employment for the academic year and the summer, research experience at the UConn Health Center in Farmington, and the opportunity to take part in a national conference. Guidance from mentors in the field help students get on a solid healthcare career track.

| Connecticut State University System |
|
Capital graduates who complete an associate degree program with a grade point average of 2.0 or higher are guaranteed admission to the university of their choice in the CSU system (Central, Eastern, Western or Southern). Admitted students will have a minimum of 60 transfer credits applied to their baccalaureate degree and if the student enrolls in a comparable university degree program without changing majors, in most cases they will be required to complete only the specified remaining additional credits toward bachelor degree requirements.
Please contact Capital's Counseling Office at (860) 906-5040 or the CSU system office at (860) 493-0000.
